Sam Rivers

EMIT was very fortunate to have Sam Rivers appear in concert seven times during the past 16 years of concerts.  Sam was a legendary figure in creative music and jazz.  He lived in Orlando where he had a tremendous impact on the music scene statewide. 

Sam performed on the EMIT series with his trio (on several occasions), Fluid Motion (a quintet), his quartet (Dalifest and and the Hickman Theater) and even dropped by to perform a duo with Evan Parker. He will be missed greatly.
